I have a 500 Roughrider. I added additional lights (2 x 55w. lamps) The battery charging system cannot keep up with this additional load. Is this common?

I have been told that a new stator(5oo watt) is required and Power Max does not have them as yet. Try Yamaha as their parts are supposed to fit.
